About Us
Les Gourmandises de Nanou: a story of family, heritage and cherished memories.
There are paths we choose for ourselves, and others that lead us quite naturally to what truly matters. After spending years directing the Human Resources department of one of Beirut’s largest hospitals, Noha Chahine, together with her daughter Joan, chose to reconnect with a heritage deeply rooted in the flavors of her childhood spent in Northern Lebanon.
It all began with Zaatar: a blend of carefully selected wild thyme, sumac and sesame seeds, prepared in her kitchen according to a family recipe passed down from her mother and grandmother. A precious heirloom that takes her right back to her younger years spent among the fragrant hills of Akkar and along the shores of the Al Mina district in Tripoli.
Step by step, tradition and dedication are always inspiring new creations: different zaatar blends, homemade jams and preserves, molasses and other delicacies deeply rooted in the traditional Lebanese mouneh.
Today, Les Gourmandises de Nanou continues to grow with the same passion: to share the authentic flavors of Lebanon, carefully prepared from the heart.
